Scars of conflict: trauma exposure, depression, and vulnerability in Kashmiri

This cross-sectional study examines the impact of cumulative trauma exposure on 300 Kashmiri women attending a mental health facility. It investigates the high prevalence of psychiatric disorders, particularly Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), identifying key sociodemographic vulnerability factors to support gender-sensitive, trauma-informed clinical interventions.
